Remembering Ursula Franklin
Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne said in a statement: “Franklin was pioneering academic who paved the way for generations of women to pursue their dreams of becoming scientists and academics.” CFUW-Hamilton Member , Alison Healing ,has passed along the link to Dr. Franklin’s obituary from last week’s Globe and Mail.
Report from the AGM
The motion to pull out of GWI was defeated this afternoon. The debate was long and lively and required a 2/3 majority to pass. We understand that it was a close vote with 55% voting in favour of the motion.
