Our speaker for the evening will be Shawn Selway, winner of the 2017 Hamilton Arts Council Literary Awards for Non-Fiction for his book Nobody Here Will Harm You.
Shawn’s talk will provide insight into the evacuation of 1,274 Inuit and Cree suffers of tuberculosis from the Eastern Arctic to Hamilton’s Mountain sanatorium from 1950- 1965. An important look at a difficult time in our country’s history.
